Department has launched the ISO 14001 project and addressed that:

Since establishment of
the maintenance center in 1982, the Technical Department management has
realized the adverse effect of the environment, which is the results of
the THAI Technical Department activities. The management, therefore, has
been trying to support and promote environment management program despite
none of the regulatory body has carried out any enforcement yet. |

|
Nowadays many
organizations have emphasized significance of pollution and toxic chemicals,
which is released or used in the industries. The regulatory body has consequently
issued laws, legislation and regulations to protect the surroundings, which
extend from local area to global system. Since the THAI Technical Department's
activities are environmental friendly, fine adjustment of our existing management
system should enable compliance to the ISO 14001 requirements. |

Even though we are proud of obtaining
the ISO 9002 certification, which was the result of everybody's participation,
we are continually proceeding further for the ISO 14001 certification in
order to obtain global recognition regarding environmental awareness, as
we believe that it is not only beneficial to the THAI Technical Department
personnel but also to humanity globally. |
